Our experience with the Classic Series from Elemental Science

I have been sharing a series with you all about how we use the programs of Elemental Science in our own homeschool. Today, I wanted to put the spotlight on our award-winning Classic Series.

The Classic Series began was born out of my desire to create a science program for our daughter that aligned with what I knew science needed to include and with the philosophy of classical education laid out in The Well-Trained Mind. At first Biology for the Grammar Stage was just for me, but we a bit of vision and a whole lot of elbow grease it has become so much more.

With your help, our Classic Series has won the prestigious Practical Homeschooling Reader Award for multiple years in a row. The series has also been named the Well-Trained Mind Top Recommendation for science and one of Cathy Duffy's Top Picks.

But more than that, our classical science programs are being used in homeschools, co-ops, and schools around the globe. It is amazing to me that this little program I wrote for our daughter has turned into something that is helping thousands of homeschoolers teach science. I am truly humbled by the response the Classic Series has received and thank you all for making this possible!

Without further ado, let's dive into our homeschool . . .

It's been a few years since we have used the Classic Series in our homeschool. As you know our son is using the Sassafras Science series and our daughter, who did help with the testing and development of our rhetoric stage programs, has been attending a complete online high school program for the last two years.

So, I'm going to dig into the archives of my blog, Elemental Blogging, to share with you all our experiences with Physics for the Grammar Stage and Biology for the Logic Stage.
