High School Science from Elemental Science

For high school, we offer a line of easy-to-follow plans centered around a standard textbook from CK12, which are enhanced by hands-on (or online) experiments.

These guides are written to the student as supervised independent learning courses.

What our high school science programs include

Our high school guides lay out three distinct one-credit high school courses. These self-guided programs contain plans for:

  • Textbook assignments using online textbooks from CK12, which are available for free. Each week includes reading selections, vocabulary terms, and comprehension questions.
  • Weekly experiments from an expertly designed high school experiment kit. These kits make it possible for you to bring the standard lab experience into your home. We have also included an online lab option with Beyond Labz for those who would prefer to utilize a virtual lab resource. You can see tutorials and demos of these online labs on the Beyond Labz YouTube Channel.
  • Three scheduling options - a survey course without labs, a standard lab science course, and an honors course - so you can choose which option best suits your student's needs.
  • Plus, there are events in science assignments and optional hands-on science activities

In short, all of our high school science programs include the three keys to teaching science expertly planned out for you!

High School Science Courses

We currently offer the following high school science programs:

Late Nite Labs Note - We have recently confirmed that MacMillian Learning is planning on sunsetting Late Nite Labs, which means it will no longer be available after July 2019. If you already have one of our rhetoric stage programs, we recommend that you either purchase a lab kit from the Home Scientist for your experiments or you use the online labs from Beyond Labz. Here is the chart coordinating these two options with the rhetoric stage programs:

For Physics for the Rhetoric Stage, the new kits and online labs are not yet ready for physics. Until those are released, we recommend that you use the PHet labs and the additional hands-on activities already found in the guide.
