Through the novel’s springboard chapter and paired encyclopedia-style readings and experiments, kids explore real science concepts naturally without feeling like they’re “just doing school.”

How it Works

Each week, you and your middle school student will:

• Read a chapter from the novel and one or more encyclopedia pages, then discuss using the provided questions.
  
• Do the weekly experiments, recording observations, results, and conclusions.
• Write about what you’ve learned (at a level that fits your student's skills) and label the related sketch.

Optional memory work and extra activities let you go deeper when desired.
