There is no avoiding it – we live in a digital age. And in our homeschool, we have chosen to embrace the resources that are at our fingertips and use technology to enhance our science studies.

In episode 15 of the Tips for Homeschool Science Show, I am going to share with you all how we use technology in our homeschool along with some of our favorite resources.

The Highlights

There are three main ways we use technology to enhance our science studies – researching, watching videos, and playing with science.

Quick caveats:

• ALWAYS preview what you are planning to use with your students.
• ALWAYS use a trusted source.

#1 – Researching

• We research to follow rabbit trails.
• We research to learn about current events.
• We research to discover more about our world.

#2 – Watching Videos

• We watch videos to learn more about a topic.
• We watch videos to see those dangerous experiment.
• We watch videos to see science in action.

#3 – Playing with Science

• We play with science through interesting apps.
• We play with science through online labs.
