1. Determine your goals.
- What do I have to prepare my student for?
- What do I want to instill in my student about science?
- Is there anything that I must teach my student?
2. Research for materials.
- What do you want to study?
- What type of materials do you want to use?
- Will you buy or get from the library?
3. Plan for each week to include the three keys for teaching science.
- Performing hands-on scientific tests
- Gathering information from science-related readings
- Recording what the student is learning
