    1 Lapbook + 5 Days = 1 Amazingly Quick Volcano-learning Opportunity!

This quick lapbook leads you through a brief survey of volcanoes, based on the book: National Geographic Readers: Volcanoes. This week-long study can be used as a stand-alone science unit for K-4th grade or alongside an earth science program.

Our quick lapbooks all include 5 days' worth of lessons for a full week-long unit. The first four days in this quick lapbook include three parts:

    • Reading Assignments – This section has the pages to read from National Geographic Readers: Volcanoes.
    • Written Work – This section includes the directions for the lapbook. Each day, you will add vocabulary cards and a mini-book on the topic that you read about in the reading assignment.
    • Dig Deeper – This section includes optional readers, videos, or activities that will add to the day's reading and written work.

The fifth, and final, day includes a related science activity for you to do with your kids. In this quick lapbook, you will be making a volcano at home and erupting it! Each of these daily lessons should take between 15 to 30 minutes a day.
