The year we studied Earth Science & Astronomy for the Logic Stage we took a field trip we took to the Grand Canyon, Sunset Crater, and the Petrified National Forest. We have visited the Houston Space Center while on a trip and we always try to find the science museum in the town we are at when we head out to conferences.
I am not saying you have to travel halfway across the country, you can also look in your own backyard. We have visited local parks, businesses, and museums on our science field trips as well.
